I think people are reading a little too much into some of what’s written here. It’s not a “this is what men want” story. It’s more like “if you’re man loves you, he loves you. So don’t be so hard on yourself/overthink it.”

I’ve been with the same person for a decade now and he’s still very loving and accepting even when my weight fluctuates or I’m not looking or feeling my best. Truly, I think women are sometimes much harder on ourselves than we’d like to admit.

But he also doesn’t try to dictate my feelings about it as one of the comments here read “women take hint and don’t complain because it’s a downer.”

That’s the type of dismissive stuff that WOMEN don’t like.
