I Don’t Believe In “Niching Down”

The advice to “niche down” on your writing is quite prevalent in this community..and quite nauseating. I mean, I get it. You want to “build a brand” for yourself and “attract a certain audience.” Sell yourself, sell your subject matter, sell your soul, sell, sell, sell.
